Death Du Jour

Knowing these stories probably happened to the babies makes me sad. Temperance shows her disgust for humans that do this to other humans. Her work is hard emotionally but she carries on to get the bad guy.

If you are looking for an easy sci-fi read that follows the story of a family navigating a new world - this is the book for you.

For the Wolf

I liked aspects of the book and disliked others. I loved the twisted fairytales (something I didn't anticipate liking) and the folkloric atmosphere. It was easy to read and I didn't want to put it down, however, it didn't feel completely fleshed out to me: Neve's excerpts seemed underdeveloped (when there was so much potential) and the magic seemed unintentionally vague. Overall, it was an entertaining read.

Curse of the Specter Queen

First of all, I loved the Irish folklore interwoven into the story! The story was atmospheric and I enjoyed reading the characters' different dynamics; I was interested in Sam's relationships with Bennett and Jo. However, I think that the relationships could have been explored more deeply instead of sidelining them to focus on the plot. The story itself also seemed...easy--obstacles Sam and Jo faced were quickly resolved and the plot twists lacked "twist." All in all though, a fun read.

What The Dinosaurs Did Last Night Book

My toddlers love this book! It is super cute for young readers who love dinos! They love looking at the graphics and recreating the story in their own words. The pictures allow them to identify clues on what the context of the page is about and they love that it is a little silly as well.

Super cute book that explains how seeds grow and form in a simplistic language for children.

Spider Bones

Another interesting story that winds around full circle with lots of tangents that pull together to make answers to the whole story.

Fatal Voyage

Very interesting book. I'm amazed at what she can find by looking at the bones. While Investigating an airplane crash a body was found that wasn't from the crash.
